Dr. Charles R. Needham Bio

 

Dr. Needham has over 20 years of experience teaching in higher education, teaching classes online and face-to-face for several colleges and universities, such as the University of Phoenix, Troy University, Ashford University, Strayer University, and Colorado Tech, to mention a few. In addition, Dr. Needham served as a doctoral committee chair for Walden University and, currently, Liberty University. Twenty-six students received their doctoral degrees under Dr Needham’s leadership, serving as their chair. In addition, Needham served on several postgraduate committees as a second and URR reviewer. Dr. Needham has 12 joint international publications in business management journals.

Dr. Needham served on accreditation committees as the Chair of Business and Economic Development at LeMoyne Owen College (LOC) in Memphis, Tennessee. Dr. Needham led the ACBSP accreditation process. Dr. Needham supervised staff and held department meetings daily. Dr. Needham met with other department administrators to collaborate in a team effort to ensure the students were served. Dr. Needham wrote and served as the Director of the Summer Entrepreneurship Program at LOC. Dr. Needham served as the President of the Faculty of Governance at Jarvis Christian University while teaching several full-time courses and co-wrote the MBA program.

Entrepreneurship Background

Dr. Needham served as the executive director and founder of Greater Life International (GLI). GLI was a 501(c) nonprofit organization and worked as a business plan and management consultant for the Detroit Entrepreneurship Institute (DEI). In collaboration with his wife, Dr. Maria Needham, Dr. Needham is a co-operator of C&M Educational Services (LLC), which provides editing and business acumen training services.

Education & Certifications

Dr. Needham obtained his associate of arts degree from Wayne County Community College District and a bachelor’s degree from Marygrove College. Dr. Needham has a master of public administration degree from the University of Detroit Mercy and an MBA from the University of Phoenix. Dr. Needham obtained a doctorate in business administration (DBA) from the University of Phoenix.

Dr. Needham’s most significant accomplishments are his relationship with God, his wife of 35 years, Dr. Maria Needham, three adult sons, and two grandchildren.
