Description

This course introduces the student to generalist social work as a helping profession. The course addrersses a wide range of social problems, issues and needs of individuals, families, groups, organizations and communities, with goals focused on improving the quality of lives, emphasizing the use of an Afrocentric perspective. A 20-hour non-paid social service agency experience is required. Required for social work majors.
