Description
This advanced study is focused treatment of one religious tradition. The goal of this study is to gain a deeper understanding of this faith tradition; worldview, beliefs, practices, values and spirituality. Students may choose to examine in depth one of the following on an alternating bases: PHRE 453 A Religions of China (Taoism, Chinese Buddhism, Confucianism); PHRE 453 B Hinduism; and PHRE 453 C Islam. Recommended for majors in Philosophy and Religion. MAy be taken more than once as topics will vary. Prerequisite: Senior standing or instructor's permission.
